THE CHATTANOOGA TIMES FREE PRESS FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS IN THE FORM OF CASH DONATIONS AND ADVERTISING SPACE TO OVER ONE HUNDRED LOCAL NONPROFITS AND OTHER BUSINESSES AND SEEKS TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE EFFORTS ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY BY RAISING AWARENESS, GENERATING FUNDS, AND CREATING CALLS TO ACTION.
THE CHATTANOOGA TIMES FREE PRESS NEEDIEST CASES PROGRAM IS ADMINISTERED BY THE UNITED WAY OF GREATER CHATTANOOGA. THE PROGRAM WORKS WITH COMMUNITY PARTNER AGENCIES TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO CLIENTS THAT CONTACT THE UNITED WAY OF GREATER CHATTANOOGA AND HAVE AN EPISODIC EMERGENCY OR IMMEDIATE NEED THAT AFFECTS FAMILY STABILITY. THE FOUNDATION RECEVIES CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THIS PROGRAM FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC THOURGH NEWSPAPER SOLICIATIONS IN THE CHATTANOOGA TIMES FREE PRESS. REVENUES RAISED ARE DISBURSED THE FOLLWOING YEAR THROUGH GRANTS TO THOSE WHO APPLY FOR AND QUALIFY FOR THE NEEDIEST CASES PROGRAM.
