MYERS PARK HIGH SCHOOL PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE GRADUATION ASSISTANCE TO AT RISK STUDENTS WHO ARE ECONOMICALLY AND EDUCATIONALLY DISADVANTAGED AT MYERS PARK HIGH SCHOOL. FUNDS RAISED FOR THIS PURPOSE GO TOWARD FUNDING 1 FULL TIME SITE COORDINATORS.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT PROVIDES HELPFUL PROGRAMS TO THE MPHS STUDENT BODY REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE OF MENTAL HEALTH. THE LARGEST EXPENSE THIS YEAR INVOLVED THE FIRST STAGE OF REPURPOSING A SPACE ON CAMPUS AS A STUDENT WELLNESS CENTER.
INNOVATIONS ALLOWS THE FOUNDATION TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR NEW PROGRAMS AIMED AT INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO DEMONSTRATED NEEDS. THIS YEAR WE TOOK TWO GROUPS OF JUNIORS AND SENIORS ON A DAY OF COLLEGE VISITS TO EXPOSE THEM TO OPPORTUNITIES FOR POST GRADUATION.
