TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF MYERS PARK STUDENTS BY EXPANDING OPPORTUNITY, ADDRESSING UNMET NEEDS, AND FUNDING INNOVATION.

MYERS PARK HIGH SCHOOL PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE GRADUATION ASSISTANCE TO AT RISK STUDENTS WHO ARE ECONOMICALLY AND EDUCATIONALLY DISADVANTAGED AT MYERS PARK HIGH SCHOOL. FUNDS RAISED FOR THIS PURPOSE GO TOWARD FUNDING 2 FULL TIME SITE COORDINATORS.
MUSTANG MATTERS PROVIDES ACADEMIC SUPPORT, MENTORING, AND RECREATION AND LIFE SKILLS TO STUDENTS AFTER SCHOOL. THE PROGRAM, WHICH BEGAN IN 2016, CELEBRATED ITS FIRST CLASS OF GRADUATING SENIORS IN JUNE 2020.
THE INNOVATIONS/COVID RELIEF FUND MERGED OUR INNOVATIONS AND COVID RELIEF PROGRAMS. INNOVATIONS ALLOWS THE FOUNDATION TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR NEW PROGRAMS AIMED AT INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO DEMONSTRATED NEEDS. THE COVID RELIEF GRANT WAS SET UP IN MAY OF 2020 TO PROVIDE AID IN REMOTE LEARNING.THIS YEAR WE SUPPORTED THE MPHS PTSOS CRITICAL NEEDS INITIATIVE WITH TWO CASH DONATIONS. WE ALSO TOOK A GROUP OF ABOUT 20 JUNIORS AND SENIORS ON A DAY OF COLLEGE VISITS TO EXPOSE THEM TO OPPORTUNITIES FOR POST-GRADUATION.
