TO DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS TO BE UNSTOPPABLE. SIMON SAYS GIVE IS A NONPROFIT FOUNDED BY MANDI SIMON. WE ARE A KID FOUNDED AND KID OPERATED ORGANIZATION. IN HONOR OF MANDI'S BIRTHDAY IN AUGUST EVERY YEAR, WE CELEBRATE HER BY GIVING SCHOOL READINESS TO AS MANY KIDS AS WE CAN WITH OUR ANNUAL HIGH FIVE FOR SUPPLIES DRIVE. WE ALSO SUPPORT KIDS WITH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS.

HIGH FIVE FOR SUPPLIES:IN MINNESOTA, WE CONDUCT A SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE THAT IS BRANDED AS HIGH FIVE FOR SUPPLIES. IN 2021, WE DISTRIBUTED 4,000 SCHOOL SUPPLY BOXES. THESE BOXES WERE THEN DISTRIBUTED TO CHILDREN WITHIN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA AND THROUGH OUR NON-PROFIT DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS. OUR WORCESTER, MA CHAPTER ALSO CONDUCTED THEIR HIGH FIVE FOR SUPPLIES AND SUCCESSFULLY PACKED AND DISTRIBUTED 652 BOXES TO KIDS IN NEED WITHIN THE WORCESTER AREA.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS:WE PROVIDE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS TO KIDS IN TWO MAIN WAYS. A HOSTED BIRTHDAY AT A COMMUNITY OR SCHOOL VENUE WHERE KIDS CAN CELEBRATE THEIR BIRTHDAY WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY. WE ALSO HAVE WHAT WE CALL BIRTHDAY'S IN A BOX, A BOX THAT IS FILLED WITH MANY THINGS A PARENT NEEDS TO CELEBRATE A CHILD. WE PROVIDE CAKE MIX, FROSTING, CANDLES, PLATES AND NAPKINS ETC. WE ALSO TRY TO PROVIDE A TAILORED GIFT IN NEED AND A GIFT FOR FUN. ALL OF OUR CHAPTERS PROVIDE BIRTHDAYS TO CHILDREN IN THEIR COMMUNITY. IN 2021 HERE IN MN WE CELEBRATED 52 BIRTHDAYS. OUR WORCESTER, MA CHAPTER CELEBRATED 27 BIRTHDAYS IN 2021. OUR SOUTH DAKOTA CHAPTER CELEBRATED 350 BIRTHDAYS.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP:YOUTH LEADERSHIP AT SIMON SAYS GIVE COMES IN MULTIPLE WAYS. WE HAVE YOUTH THAT ARE INVOLVED IN OUR KID ADVISORY BOARDS IN ALL THREE CHAPTERS. OUR KIDS ADVISORY BOARD (KAB) MEMBERS WORK ON INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS AND GROUP PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THEY GO OUT TO EVENTS AND SPEAK ABOUT SIMON SAYS GIVE AT ROTARY AND CHAMBER EVENTS. WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF YOUTH WHO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AT OUR BIRTHDAYS OR BACKPACK EVENTS. MANY OF OUR YOUTH VOLUNTEERS HAVE ALSO BEEN RECIPIENTS OF BACKPACKS OR BIRTHDAYS.
HUNGER PROJECT:OUR SIOUX FALLS CHAPTER FOCUSES ON HUNGER WITH THEIR TAKE A MEAL MAKE A MEAL PROGRAM. THEY PARTNER WITH LOCAL CHEFS TO PROVIDE SIMPLE HEALTHY MEALS FOR KIDS TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE. THIS PROVIDES A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR THESE KIDS.
