THE ART CENTER STRIVES, THROUGH FINE ARTS, TO CREATE A UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIERIENCES CAN FEEL FREE TO IMAGINE, CREATE, EXHIBIT AND WELCOME THE ARTS INTO THEIR LIVES. THE ART CENTER WILL PROVIDE A PROFESSIONAL WORK ENVIRONMENT THAT IS CHELLENGING, REWARDING, CREATIVE, AND RESPECTFUL OF IDEAS AND INDIVIDUALS. OUR GOAL IS TO GATHER ALL PRESENT CULTURAL ACTVITIES AND ART ORGANIZATIONS UNDER ONE ROOF TO SHARE THEIR TALENTS AND GIVE OUR COMMUNITY THE OPPORUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ARTS.

THE ART CENTER OFFICIALLY OPENED IN 2016. THE CENTER OFFERS WORKSHOPS, ART CLASSES, GALLERY EVENTS, RENTS SPACE TO LOCAL ARTISTS, AND HAS A RETAIL STORE.
THE ALL ACCESS PROGRAM TEACHES CREATIVE JOB SKILLS TO THOSE WITH DISABILITIES. A PARTNERSHIP WAS FORMED WITH THE ARC OF SOUTHINGTON, AN ORGANIZATION THAT SERVES THE NEEDS OF THOSE WITH DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES AND PARTICIPANTS WERE TAUGHT SILK SCREENING, PAINTING, DRAWING, WEAVING, BEADING, JEWELRY MAKING, PAPER MAKING AND COLLAGE. TRAINING FOR BEST STUDIO PRACTICES AND CLASSROOM PROTOCOL FOR WORKSHOP TEACHEDRS IS ALSO TAUGHT. THE GROUP GATHERS WEEKLY TO LEARN CREATIVE SKILLS IN THE WORK PLACE.
