WORKS WITH ONE OF THE POOREST AREAS OF CHILE, LA PINTANA. ONLY 30% OF THE CHILDREN GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL. CHILDREN ARE ABANDONED AND WE WORK WITH THE CHILDREN WHO ARE AGED OUT OF GROUP HOMES. WE OPERATE THE HOUSE OF HOPE WHICH PROVIDES HOUSING, SCHOOL FUNDING, AND NEEDS FOR THE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN TO EARN UNIVERSITY DEGREES TO BECOME TEACHERS, NURSES, ETC TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY. WE ALSO RUN PROGRAMS FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN SUCH AS: MUSIC, TUTORING IN MATH, ENGLISH AND SCIENCE AS WELL AS PE AND THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE BIBLE. WE HAVE INTERNS AND VOLUNTEERS COME TO THE HOH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO HELP RUN PROGRAMS AND WORK ON MAINTENANCE ON THE FACILITY AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS. OVER 500 CHILDREN ARE HELPED ANNUALLY AT THE HOUSE OF HOPE.
