PROVIDING COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANCE TO GOVERNMENT, CHARITABLE AND OTHER QUALIFIED ORGANIZATIONS. THE PROMOTION, OPERATION AND SUPPORT OF AMATEUR RADIO ROUTINE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE ACTIVITIES. PROMOTE AND CONDUCT EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO RADIO AMATEURS.

THE CONTINUED MAINTENANCE OF PORTIONS OF OUR EXISTING LINKED AMATEUR RADIO REPEATER SYSTEM AND ACQUISITION OF EQUIPMENT TO BEGIN OUR EXPANSION OF THE SYSTEM THOUGHOUT COLORADO USING OUR AWARDED GRANT MONEY. THE SYSTEM CURRENTLY COVERS A SERVICE AREA FROM CHEYENNE, WYOMING TO SOUTHERN COLORADO AND LINKS WITH OUR PARTNERS TO SOUTHWESTERN COLORADO AND THROUGH TO ALBURQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO. WE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT RADIO COMMUNICATIONS FOR ROUTINE RED CROSS NETS, VARIOUS COLORADO AMATEUR RADIO EMERGENCY SERVICE EVENTS AND NETS, EDGE OF SPACE SCIENCES BALLOON LAUNCHES, STATE OF COLORADO AUXCOMM UNIT "DIRTY 30" COMMUNICATIONS EXERCISE AND THE BOY SCOUTS JOTA "JAMBOREE ON THE AIR." THIS EXPANSION PROJECT INCLUDES THE PORTION OF THE GRANT MONEY THAT WAS PASSED THROUGH TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN HAM RADIO-NEW MEXICO.
AS A RESULT OF COVID 19, RMHAM BEGAN USING VIDEO CONFERENCING TO FACILITATE OUR "RMHAM UNIVERSITY" EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. THIS HAS BECOME POPULAR AND ALLOWS MANY, WHO WOULD PREFER NOT TO TRAVEL, TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS. WE ACQUIRED EQUIPMENT THAT WILL FACILITATE MUCH IMPROVED AUDIO/VISUAL QUALITY PRESENTATIONS. RMHAM UNIVERSITY HELD 9 SESSIONS THIS FISCAL YEAR WITH LIMITED IN PERSON ATTENDANCE OF 166 STUDENTS. ZOOM VIDEO ATTENDANCE WAS 381 STUDENTS.
WE HAVE 3 COMMUNICATIONS VEHICLES OR "QUICK RESPONSE VEHICLES" (QRV1, QVR2 AND QVR3) AND A COMMUNICATIONS TRAILER THAT REQUIRE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS TO KEEP THEM READY TO ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION. AS COVID RESTRICTIONS HAVE LESSENED WE MADE MORE USE OF OUR PORTABLE ASSETS AT COLORADO AMATEUR RADIO EMERGENCY SERVICE EVENTS AND THE STATE OF COLORADO AUXCOMM UNIT "DIRTY 30" COMMUNICATIONS EXERCISE.
