HEART'S SUCCESS IS EXHIBITED THROUGH ITS WORK IN MANY FACETS OF ANIMAL AND HUMAN WELFARE.HEART HAS PLAYED A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN HELPING REDUCE HOMELESSNESS BY REMOVING CERTAIN BARRIERSWHICH EXIST WITH PET OWNERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. OUR PROGRAMS ENABLE THESEHUMAN AND PET COMPANIONS TO REMAIN TOGETHER AND BEGIN ALONG A POSITIVE PATH WHILE TRANSITIONINGINTO SHELTERS AND ULTIMATELY INTO HOUSING.HEART PROVIDES MEDICAL CARE, TRAINING, BOARDING, AND OTHER SERVICES FOR HOMELESS PETS AT NOCHARGE; PROVIDES LOW-COST PREVENTIVE HEALTHCARE FOR ALL OTHER PETS; PROVIDES RESCUE, REHABILITATION& ADOPTION SERVICES; AND BRINGS IMPORTANT ANIMAL & HUMAN WELFARE AWARENESS AND EDUCATION TOTHE PUBLIC IN GENERAL.IN 2021, OVER 600 PETS OWNED BY PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESSRECEIVED HEARTS SERVICES, APPROXIMATELY 2,500 OTHER PETS RECEIVED PREVENTIVE HEALTHCARE SERVICESTHROUGH PUBLIC CLINICS AND PRIVATE HOUSE-CALLS, AND 30 PETS WERE RESCUED, REHABILITATED ANDSUCCESSFULLY RE-HOMED.OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, HEART HAS SERVED THE NEEDS OF THOUSANDS OF PET OWNERS, FOCUSING ONUNDER-SERVED COMMUNITIES, THE ELDERLY, VETERANS, LOW-INCOME PET OWNERS AND OTHERS WHO HAVEBEEN UNABLE TO ATTAIN SERVICES ELSEWHERE.
