THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA VETERINARY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (SCVMA) SHALL BE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE SCIENCE AND ART OF VETERINARY MEDICINE. THE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION OF ANIMAL HEALTH, INCLUDING ITS RELATIONSHIP TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND IN GENERAL, THE BETTERMENT OF THE VETERINARY PROFESSION. IN ADDITION, BY FOSTERING CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS, THE ASSOCIATION GIVES OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS FOR THE INTERCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THEIR VETERINARY MEDICAL SKILLS.
