THROUGH EXTENSIVE COMMUNICATIONS AND PLANNING WITH OUR SISTER ORGANIZATION IN MALAWI (VILLAGES IN PARTNERSHIP INTERNATIONAL), VIP SUPPORTED THE FOLLOWING DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS (THROUGH GRANTS AND IN-KIND DONATIONS OF PROJECT SUPPLIES) AMONG OTHERS IN 2021; PROVIDED ACCESS TO SAFE, CLEAN WATER TO 5,262, COMPRISING 94% OF OUR HOUSEHOLDS IN THE OUR IMPACT AREA; OVER 4,000 MEDICAL PATIENTS AND 1,400 DENTAL TREATED BY A TEAM OF MALAWIAN & U.S. MEDICS; BROKE GROUND ON THE KHANDA HEALTH CENTER, WHICH WILL BRING MEDICAL SERVICES TO 30,000 UNDERSERVED PEOPLE IN RURAL VILLAGES; PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO 100 SECONDARY STUDENTS AND 17 UNIVERSITY STUDENTS; PLANTED 2,200 TRESS TO COMBACT DEFORESTATION; VACCINATED 20,533 CHICKENS AGAINST THE NEW CASTLE DISEASE; INSTALLED 128 CONCRETE SANITATION PLATFORM COVERS OVER PIT LATERNS TO PROMOTE SAFE SANITATION AND HEALTH PRACTICES; $30,000 SAVED BY PARTICIPANTS IN VIP'S VILLAGE SAVINGS & LOANS CLUBS; AND 353KG OF HONEY HARVESTED FOR SALE AT LOCAL MARKETS.
