SUMMER PEACE INSTITUTES: SUMMER PEACE INSTITUTES BRING TOGETHER AMERICAN, ISRAELI, AND PALESTINIAN STUDENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH THE FOCUS OF CREATING A NEW GENERATION OF PEACEBUILDERS AND LEADERS. THE PROGRAM CHALLENGES PARTICIPANTS TO CONSIDER DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES AROUND THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT. IN ADDITION, IT ENCOURAGES PARTICIPANTS TO DEEPEN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF FAITH TRADITIONS AND DEVELOP STRATEGIES FOR TAKING ACTION IN PROMOTING PEACE.
EXCEL INSTITUTE: EXCEL INSTITUTE INSPIRED BY THE INTERNATIONALLY FAMOUS CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION ACROSS CULTURES PROGRAM (CONTACT), JPB HOSTED THE INAUGURAL EXCEL: EXPLORING CONFLICT, EDUCATION, AND LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FOR ADULTS AT ACER FARM IN BRATTLEBORO, VERMONT. EXCEL WAS OFFERED IN THE UK AS A NINE-DAY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR ISRAELI JEWISH AND ARAB EDUCATORS, COMBINING PEACEBUILDING, CRITICAL REFLECTION, NETWORKING, CURRICULUM DESIGN, AND LANGUAGE STUDIES TO EMPOWER PARTICIPANTS WITH AN ARRAY OF PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, RELATIONSHIPS AND RECOGNITION. EXCEL'S PEACEBUILDING COMPONENT AIMS TO INCREASE EDUCATORS' CAPACITIES TO INTEGRATE THE PRACTICES OF PEACEBUILDING AND YOUTH LEADERSHIP IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AND CURRICULA.
