THE TRUST IS ORGANZIED FOR CHARITABLE, AND CIVIC PURPOSES, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. THE TRUST IS ORGANZIED TO BE THE CHARITABE FUND RAISING ARM OF THE SOMERVILLE ELKS LODGE. THE CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES PROVIDE SUPPORT AND SUBSIDY TO THE HANDICAPPED CHILDREN'S PROGRAM AT THE ELK'S FACILITIES, WHICH PROVIDE TREATMENTS FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, AND TO VARIOUS FAMILIES AND INSIVIDUALS DEALING WITH CHILDREN OR LOVED ONES WITH SEVERE HANDICAPS OR MEDICAL ISSUES. THE LODGE'S CIVIC ACTIVITIES HELP PROMOTE COMMUNITY PROGRAMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.

SPECIAL CHILDREN'S COMMITTEE-TO SUPPORT AND SUBSIDIZE THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN'S PROGRAM AND TO SUPPORT THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDRENS CENTER SPONSER BY THE ELK'S LODGE.


YOUTH ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE-TO ADMINISTER PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO GIVE LOCAL CHILDREN A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIANCE AS WELL AS A SAFE PLACE TO GO AND BE THEMSELVES.
