THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO EDUCATE CHILDREN USING WALDORF EDUCATION BASED ON A HUMANISTIC APPROACH TO PEDAGOGY BASED UPON THE EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY OF THE AUSTRIAN PHILOSOPHER RUDOLF STEINER, THE FOUNDER OF ANTHROPOSOPHY. THIS IS DONE IN CONJUNCTION WITH MINDFUL PARENTING.

WINDSONG SCHOOL SERVED A DIVERSE STUDENT BODY OF 80 STUDENTS IN THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR. OUR FACULTY AND STAFF ROSTER INCLUDED 10 FULL AND PART-TIME LEAD TEACHERS AND 5 SUPPORT STAFF. OUR TUITION AFFORDABILITY PROGRAM ENABLED 25 LOW INCOME STUDENTS TO ENROLL IN OUR SCHOOL. OUR SCHOOL NAVIGATED THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND MANAGED TO STAY OPEN THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR. THIS INCLUDED IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION FOR EVERY STUDENT FOR 2020-21. OUR ANNUAL AUCTION SAW SUCCESS EVEN WITH A LAST MINUTE CHANGE TO OFFER A VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE RATHER THAN IN-PERSON. FINANCIALLY THERE WERE STRUGGLES WE EXPERIENCED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT (PANDEMIC) BUT WE APPLIED AND RECEIVED A DISASTER LOAN AND A PPP LOAN TO STABILIZE OUR ORGANIZATION.
