SUMMER PERFORMING ARTS INTENSIVES: IN JUNE-JULY 2022, YAA HELD DAY AND OVERNIGHT CAMPS FOR 200+ STUDENTS, GRADES 4-12, OVER FIVE WEEKS AT THREE CAMPUSES: UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND COLLEGE PARK, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND BALTIMORE COUNTY, AND OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL IN OLNEY, MD. PROGRAMMING INCLUDED ACTING, DANCE, VOICE, AND INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC. PERFORMANCES INCLUDED "HONK JR," "LEGALLY BLONDE," "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR.," "SWEENEY TODD," PLUS DANCE AND INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC SHOWCASES.


PERFORMANCES: FALL - IN DECEMBER 2022, 150 STUDENTS FROM YAACOMPANY, YAAORCHESTRA, AND YAAJUNIOR PERFORMED THE WORLD YOUTH PREMIERE OF "WONDERLAND" AT THE MUSIC CENTER AT STRATHMORE, FOR AN AUDIENCE OF 1500. SPRING - IN APRIL 2023, 150 STUDENTS FROM YAACOMPANY, YAAORCHESTRA, AND YAAJUNIOR PERFORMED THE WORLD PREMIERE OF "HAL PRINCE'S BROADWAY" AT THE MUSIC CENTER AT STRATHMORE, FOR AN AUDIENCE OF 1600. THE PRODUCTION WAS ALSO TAPED AT MARYLAND PUBLIC TELEVISION AND WILL AIR IN FALL 2023. ADDITIONALLY, IN MAY, 60 YAAJUNIOR PERFORMED "XANADU JR" TO AN AUDIENCE OF 550 AT OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL HIGH SCHOOL. ALSO IN MAY, 30+ YAAKIDS PRESENTED A MUSICAL THEATRE SHOWCASE AT SAINT MARK'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN NORTH BETHESDA, MD.


EDUCATION: FROM SEPTEMBER 2022-MAY 2024, YAA SERVED 50+ MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH ITS YAASTUDIO MUSICAL THEATRE TRAINING PROGRAM, AND DANCE CLASSES
