CHILD RECOVERY PROGRAM & PREVENTION AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGN OUTREACH: THROUGH PREVENTION AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS, UNLIKELY HEROES TEAM MEMBERS ROUTINELY EDUCATE PEOPLE AND RAISE AWARENESS ON ISSUES RELATED TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND HOW TO EFFECTIVELY RESPOND INCLUDING FIRST RESPONDER TRAININGS, LARGE-SCALE AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS, AND PREVENTION & EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE AT HIGH-RISK FOR TRAFFICKING. UNLIKELY HEROES HAS HELPED VICTIMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING TO ESCAPE BY PROVIDING OUTREACH IN HIGH-RISK AREAS AND EMERGENCY SERVICES - HELPING VICTIMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING TRANSITION FROM EXPLOITATION INTO REHABILITATION AND FREEDOM.
RESCUED CHILD RESTORATION & REHABILITATION: EACH RECOVERED CHILD IS PROVIDED WITH SAFE HOUSING, CRISIS STABILIZATION, EDUCATION, LIFE SKILLS, MEDICAL CARE, LEGAL ASSISTANCE, AND A THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT PROGRAM. OUR PROGRAM PROVIDES SURVIVORS WITH TOOLS FOR HEALING AND OUR FIRST GOAL FOR EVERY CHILD IS THAT S/HE GRADUATES HIGH SCHOOL AND ACQUIRES NEW JOB SKILLS TO LOWER RECIDIVISM. THROUGH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS, UNLIKELY HEROES TEAMS HAVE WORKED TO RECOVER MORE THAN 500 CHILDREN FROM HUMAN TRAFFICKING. IN MARCH 2020, THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC DEVASTATED THE WORLD AS MASSIVE SHUTDOWNS IMPACTED EVERY SINGLE SECTOR INCLUDING OUR RESTORATION HOMES AND PARTNERS ON THE GROUND. THE HOMES REMAINED AND HAVE IMPLEMENTED NEW HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES IN COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND SAFETY REGULATIONS.
