FUNDED THE ANNUAL THANKSGIVING OUTREACH PROGRAM, AND BY WORKING WITH LOCAL CHURCHES, ESTABLISHED A THANKSGIVING MEAL PROGRAM IN THE STATE OF HAWAII.


THROUGH THE HO'OKIPA I PO'OKELA PROGRAM, THE KO OLINA GOLF CLUB ASSISTS ELEMENTARY, INTERMEDIATE, AND HIGH SCHOOLS IN THE NANAKULI SCHOOL DISTRICT WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPETITIVE GOLF PROGRAM FOR THEIR STUDENTS. THE KO OLINA GOLF CLUB PROVIDES EQUIPMENT, ONSITE INSTRUCTION AND COACHING FROM THEIR STAFF OF PGA GOLF PROFESSIONALS. ANY CHARITABLE DONATIONS FOR THE PROGRAM ARE DIRECTED TO KO OLINA CHARITIES, A FEDERAL TAX 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION.THE PURPOSE OF THE HO'OKIPA I PO'OKELA PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS IN THE NANAKULI SCHOOL DISTRICT WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND PLAY THE GAME OF GOLF, WHILE HELPING TO BUILD AND PROMOTE LIFE SKILLS AND VALUES FOR POSITIVE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GRADUATING SENIORS TO EARN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION. WE HOPE THAT THE SKILLS LEARNED WILL ULTIMATELY HELP THEM LIVE PRODUCTIVE LIVES AND BECOME VALUABLE MEMBERS IN THE COMMUNITY.
