THE SOCIETY WAS ORGANIZED ON OCTOBER 31, 1866 TO MAINTAIN AND INCREASE THE INTEREST IN COUNTY FAIRS, TO PROMOTE, CONDUCT, AND MANAGE EITHER DIRECTLY OR UNDER ITS DIRECTION AND AUSPICES AN ANNUAL COUNTY FAIR. THE PROFITS OF WHICH, IF ANY, SHALL BE USED FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE FAIRGROUNDS OF THE SOCIETY. THE 156TH ANNUAL FAIR WAS HELD IN AUGUST 2022.
