CONTACT CENTER-BHR PROVIDES 24/7 CRISIS INTERVENTION SUPPORT FOR RESIDENTS OF THE EASTERN REGION OF MISSOURI, AS WELL AS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY. SUPPORT IS PROVIDED VIA TELEPHONE, TEXT AND/OR WEB CHAT. CALLERS RECEIVE IN THE MOMENT SUPPORT, SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING, CRISIS ASSESSMENT INCLUDING ASSESSMENT OF SAFETY, PRIMARY NEEDS, AND TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS, INCLUDING REFERRALS TO COMMUNITY PROVIDERS. CALLERS ARE ALSO OFFERED FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT AS NEEDED. ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM OF CRISIS CLINICIANS ALL TRAINED IN DELIVERING EVIDENCE-BASED CRISIS AND SUICIDE PREVENTION SERVICES. CLIENTS RECEIVE A FACE-TO-FACE CRISIS ASSESSMENT CONDUCTED BY A QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (MASTER'S LEVEL, LICENSE ELIGIBLE COUNSELOR OR SOCIAL WORKER) AND APPROPRIATE TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDING REFERRALS TO COMMUNITY PROVIDERS. CLIENTS ARE OFFERED FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT. MOBILE OUTREACH SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE TO CLIENTS.
JUSTICE AND CRISIS RESPONSE UNIT (JCRU)-BHR PROVIDES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO PERSONS WHO ARE INTERACTING WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, OR ANY FIRST RESPONDER/PUBLIC SAFETY SYSTEMS, AT MULTIPLE POINTS OF ENTRY TO ENSURE PERSONS IN CRISIS OR DEALING WITH SUBSTANCE USE OR MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES ARE APPROPRIATELY TRIAGED AND DIVERTED FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AND EMERGENCY CARE SYSTEM WHENEVER POSSIBLE. COMMUNITY MEMBERS RECEIVE IN THE MOMENT SUPPORT, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TRIAGE, INCLUDING ASSESSMENT OF SAFETY, PRIMARY NEEDS, AND APPROPRIATE CONNECTION TO SERVICES, INCLUDING DIRECT REFERRALS INTO THE SYSTEM OF CARE. COMMUNITY MEMBERS RECEIVE ACTIVE CARE COORDINATION, AND BHR TRACKS RELEVANT PROGRAM OUTCOMES.
