FOUNDATION GRANT PROGRAM- ANNUAL PROGRAM TO BENEFIT LOCAL CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS WITH A REQUIREMENT THAT A MEMBER OF THE CLUB SIGNS THE APPLICATION AS A SPONSOR. PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO CHARITIES, ENTITIES AND/OR ORGANIZATIONS THAT IMPROVE THE LIFE OF FAMILIES AND/OR CHILDREN IN THE DES MOINES AREA. ORGANIZATIONS MUST IDENTIFY A SPECIFIC PROJECT THE FUNDS WILL BE APPLIED TOWARD AND USE THE MONEY LOCALLY.
MEALS FROM THE HEARTLAND - VOLUNTEER PROGRAM WITH A MISSION TO PROVIDE MEALS TO THOSE MALNURISHED BOTH LOCALLY AND GLOBALLY. VOLUNTEERS PACKAGE MEALS TO BE DISBURSED TO THOSE IN NEED.
ROTARY PROJECT WITH CHILD VOICE INTERNATIONAL- PARTNERED WITH THE ROTARY CLUB OF ARUA IN UGANDA TO SUPPORT CHILD VOICE INTERNATIONAL'S PROJECT TO REPURPOSE AN EXISTING BUILDING TO A GIRL'S EMPOWERMENT CENTER IN THE IMPEVI REFUGEE SETTLEMENT TO SERVE WAR-AFFECTED ADOLESCENT GIRLS FROM SOUTH SUDAN WITH PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT, TRAUMA HEALING, VOCATIONAL TRAINING, HYGIENE MANAGEMENT AND MORE. THIS IS A SAFE PLACE FOR THOSE STRUGGLING TO ADAPT TO A NEW LIFE AFTER FLEEING VIOLENCE.
