1) PARENTS AS TEACHERS PROGRAM SERVED 15 FAMILIES/22 CHILDREN DURING 2016. THESE AT-RISK FAMILIES RECEIVED A TOTAL OF 299 HOME VISITS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT, EDUCATION, SCREENING AND REFERRAL. 2) NEST PROGRAM SERVED A TOTAL OF 33 AT-RISK FAMILIES, 47 PARENTS AND 68 CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 0-AGE 3. THESE FAMILIES PARTICIPATED IN 24 EDUCATIONAL GROUP OPPORTUNITIES, 1 IN-HOME VISIT AND 153 ONE ON ONE EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS. BY INCREASING THEIR KNOWLEDGE BASE AND IMPROVING THEIR CARE OF THEIR CHILDREN, THEY EARNED POINTS TO SHOP IN OUR NEST STORE, PURCHASING ESSENTIAL BABY ITEMS. EDUCATION AND ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES ARE CRITICAL IN DECREASE CHILD ABUSE FOR THESE AT RISK FAMILIES. 3) SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAM PROVIDED "READY SET KNOW" SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION CURRICULUM TO 104 CLASSROOMS, SERVING 663 STUDENTS AGE 4-7 AND 60 ADULTS. ONE ADULT SESSION WAS PROVIDED SERVING 9 INDIVIDUALS. THE GOAL IS TO DECREASE SEXUAL ABUSE INSTANCES IN OUR COMMUNITY.
