DERECHO RELIEF- GRANTS AWARDED TO THE PUBLIC FOR PAYMENTS UP TO $1,000 PER HOUSEHOLD FOR PEOPLE WHO WERE EFFECTED BY THE STORM.
PROJECT JACK: ORIGINATING IN THE QUAD CITIES AREA IN MEMORY OF JACK LINDAMAN, THE PROJECT GIVES 4TH AND 5TH GRADERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PAY IT FORWARD IN ANY WAY THE CLASS CHOOSES. THERE WERE NOT ANY STIPULATIONS GIVEN OR RULES TO FOLLOW ON HOW TO USE THE MONEY. PROJECTS RANGED FROM DONATIONS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS TO PASSING OUT ROSES TO STRANGERS. THE PROJECT HAS CHANGED AS WE HAVE ROLLED IT OUT ACROSS THE STATE OF IOWA. 4TH AND 5TH-GRADE TEACHERS ARE INVITED TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FOR A $250 GRANT TO BE USED TOWARD A PAY-IT-FORWARD TYPE PROJECT.
SUPPORT FOR HOUSING AND OTHER PROGRAMS - SUPPORT FOR PROGRAMS ACROSS THE STATE OF IOWA FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING, AND FOR PROGRAMS THAT HELP KEEP IOWA AN ATTRACTIVE PLACE TO LIVE. DURING 2020, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SUPPORT TO 22 ORGANIZATIONS/PROGRAMS.
