THE VISION OF AMANA COLONIES ARE RECOGNIZED BOTH LOCALLY AND REGIONALLY AS A PREMIER VISITOR DESTINATION. WE WILL SUPPORT OUR VISITORS BY PROVIDING EXPERT KNOWLEDGE OF THE AMANA COLONIES. THE ACCVB SUPPORTS OUR MEMBERS BY PROVIDING EXPERTISE IN MARKETING AND TOURISM TRENDS.

ACCVB PROMOTED AND MARKETED THE AMANA COLONIES THROUGH MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPER, RADIO, TELEVISION, INTERNET, OUTDOOR SIGNAGE, TRAVEL SHOWS, WEBSITE, AND ETC.
PUBLISHED OVER 55,000 ANNUAL VISITORS GUIDES AND 40,000 AREA MAPS IN 2020, ONLY ABOUT HALF WERE DISTRIBUTED IN 2020 BECAUSE OF COVID. THE BALANCE OF THE GUIDES AND MAPS WERE USED IN 2021 AND A SUPPLEMENT BROCHURE OF 40,000 WERE PRINTED TO BE HANDED OUT WITH THE CARRYOVER ITEMS.
THE AMANA COLONIES CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU (ACCVB) GIVES TOURS TO VISITORS IN THE AREA. THIS SERVICE PROVIDES DAILY TOURS ON MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. TOURS DID NOT REALLY START UNTIL JUNE 2021 BECAUSE OF THE COVID OUTBREAK. DURING THE LAST HALF OF 2021, 1031 PEOPLE TOOK TOURS.
OTHER PROGRAM EXPENSES WOULD INCLUDE WAGES, PAYROLL EXPENSES, OCCUPANCY, TRAVEL, INSURANCE, DEPRECIATION AND GIFT CERTIFICATES REDEEMED. OTHER PROGRAM INCOME WOULD INCLUDE GIFT CERTIFICATES SALES AND SALES OF MERCHANDISE.COVID DRASTICALLY REDUCED THE TOURISM INDUSTRY IN 2020. THEREFORE, INCOME AND EXPENSES VERY SKEWED FOR 2020.
