ENCOURAGE TOURISM IN WILL, GRUNDY, LASALLE, LIVINGSTON AND BUREAU COUNTIES ALONG WITH PORTIONS OF COOK COUNTY, ALL IN ILLINOIS, BY PROMOTING EVENTS, TOURIST ATTRACTIONS, AND GROUP TOURS. IT IS THE INTENT THAT THE INCREASE IN THESE PROGRAMS WILL HAVE A DIRECT IMPACT ON THE INCREASE IN OCCUPANCY OF GUEST ROOMS IN COMMERCIAL LODGING FACILITIES. PROMOTE AND INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE ILLINOIS AND MICHIGAN CANAL NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR.
