IOWA INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM (IIAGP) AND IOWA DISASTER CASE MANAGEMENT (IDCM) - THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES. THE PROGRAM ASSISTED FAMILIES WHOSE INCOMES WERE AT OR BELOW TWICE THE FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINES WHO WERE AFFECTED BY SEVERE WEATHER UNDER THE GOVERNOR'S DISASTER DECLARATION. FAMILIES APPLIED FOR THE IIAGP PROGRAM FOR A MAXIMUM OF $5,000 ASSISTANCE AT THE AREA COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF IOWA. FOR IDCM, WAS USED TO ASSIST CASE MANAGERS THAT WERE HELPING IOWANS. THE ORGANIZATION DISBURSED FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $899,871.30 TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES FOR DISTRIBUTION TO ELIGIBLE FAMILIES FOR IIAGP AND TO THE AGENCIES FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF THEIR TIME HELPING IOWANS.
TENANT BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE - THE PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE IOWA FINANCE AUTHORITY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTANCE WITH RENT, SECURITY AND UTILITY DEPOSITS TO HELP IOWA HOUSEHOLDS AFFORD HOUSING COSTS. HOUSEHOLDS APPLIED FOR ASSISTANCE AT THE AREA COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES THROUGH THE STATE OF IOWA. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2021, THE ORGANIZATION DISBURSED FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $485,316 TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES FOR DISTRIBUTION TO ELIGIBLE LANDLORDS.
HOUSING PROGRAMS - EVICTION AND FORECLOSURE PREVENTION PROGRAM - PROGRAM PROVIDED RENTAL ASSISTANCE FOR IOWANS THAT WERE AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2021, THE ORGANIZATION DISBURSED FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $288,148.22 TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES TO PAY FOR THE TIME THEY SPENT FILTERING THROUGH APPLICATIONS FOR RENTAL ASSISTANCE.IOWA RENTAL AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - PROGRAM PROVIDED RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND/OR UTILITY ASSISTANCE FOR IOWANS THAT WERE AFFECTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
