INDIVIDUAL LIVING - TO PROVIDE CONTACT HOURS OF SUPERVISION AND TRAINING IN PERSONAL AND HOME SKILLS, ADVOCACY SKILLS, AND COMMUNITY SKILLS NEEDED TO SUPPORT AN INDIVIDUAL WITH AN INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY IN LIVING SAFELY IN AN APARTMENT OR HOME OF HIS/HER CHOICE. THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AS NEEDED TO EACH INDIVIDUAL, RANGING FROM HOURLY SERVICES UP TO 24 HOURS DAILY, ACCORDING TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS SET FORTH IN CHAPTER 77.37 OF THE IOWA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE.
TO PROVIDE WORK AND ACTIVITY SKILLS TRAINING IN AS NONRESTRICTIVE A MANNER AS POSSIBLE TO MENTALLY DISADVANTAGED ADULTS WHOSE LEVEL OF FUNCTION PLACES A SEVERE IMPAIRMENT ON THEIR PRODUCTION CAPABILITIES. THE TRAINING FURTHERS INDEPENDENCE AT HOMES AND IN THE COMMUNITY WHILE PREPARING THEM FOR PARTICIPATION IN MORE ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAMS.
WEST SIDE APARTMENTS - TO PROVIDE INDEPENDENT LIVING QUARTERS FOR INDIVIDUALS MEETING ADMISSIONS QUALIFICATIONS AS ESTABLISHED TO QUALIFY AS LOW INCOME HOUSING. NORTH IOWA REGIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY REGULATES RENT CHARGES.
