TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF ALL VETERENS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND TO FULFILL OUR COMMITTMENT TO COMMUNITY, STATE, AND NATION THROUGH CONTRIBUTIONS AND SERVICE. SOME OF THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE PROVIDING CHIRSTMAS GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR VETS AND THEIR FAMILIES, HONORING OUR FALLEN VETERENS AT BURIAL, SPONSORING YOUTH SPORT AND OTHER LOCAL PROGRAMS, AND PROMOTING PATRIOTISM BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION AND MAKING FLAGS AND T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE.

POST 0036 CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY 270 VOTING MEMBERS AND IS AVAILABLE TO ANY SERVICE PERSONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. EXPENSES INCLUDE COST OF POST ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT TO VETERENS AS WELL AS THE COST OF HONOR GUARDS, BUGLERS FOR VETERAN FUNERALS, AID TO VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES, AND EDUCATION AND PROMOTION OF PATRIOTISM IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH SPECIAL EVENTS SUCH AS MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAMS, PARADES, FLAGS AND SUPPLIES.


THIS AMERICAN LEGION POST IS COMMITTED TO SERVING THE YOUTH OF OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS ATTENDING POST SECONDARY EDUCATION AND BY SUPPORTING YOUTH PROGRAMS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.


AMERICAN LEGION POST 0036 IS COMMITTED TO SERVING THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY SUPPORTING COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SUCH AS INTERLAKEN HERITAGE DAYS HELD IN FAIRMONT. ADDITIONALLY, THEY MAKE CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT SERVE THIS COMMUNITY SUCH AS THE SHEPHERDS INN.
