COMMUNITY INVESTMENT: PARTNERING WITH NONPROFIT HUMAN SERVICES AGENCIES, SCHOOLS AND LOCAL UNITS OF GOVERNMENT, RICE COUNTY AREA UNITED WAY AWARDS GRANTS FOR PROGRAMS THAT PRODUCE OUTCOMES IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, HEALTH AND FINANCIAL STABILITY. OUR PARTNER AGENCIES HELP FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS FACING CRISIS OR LONG-TERM ISSUES THAT LEAD TO LACK OF SAFE HOUSING, FOOD INSECURITY, LIMITED ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE, JOB LOSS AND DISABILITY. THEY ALSO HELP US ENSURE THAT ALL CHILDREN CAN FULFILL THEIR POTENTIAL IN SCHOOL AND LIFE WITH HOPE AND STRONG ETHICS. OUR PARTNER AGENCIES DELIVER EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAMS WITH MEASURABLE OUTCOMES.


IMAGINATION LIBRARY: RICE COUNTY AREA UNITED WAY IS THE REGIONAL SPONSOR FOR DOLLY PARTON'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY, PROVIDING FREE, AGE-APPROPRIATE BOOKS EACH MONTH TO NEARLY 700 LOCAL CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO AGE FIVE. IMAGINATION LIBRARY PAVES THE WAY FOR EARLY SCHOOL SUCCESS FOR ALL CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY BY ENSURING THAT FAMILIES HAVE AGE-APPROPRIATE BOOKS IN THE HOME AND CAN READ TOGETHER.


1,558 DONOR DESIGNATIONS: CONTRIBUTIONS TO RICE COUNTY AREA UNITED WAY THAT DONORS DIRECT TO SPECIFIC AGENCIES. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 14 DONOR DESIGNATIONS TO 10 AGENCIES IN FY 2021.
