CONTINUED TO SERVE THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE DELIVERY AND PROMOTION OF ART EDUCATION AND ARTISTIC PROGRAMS AND BY RAISING FUNDS TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY BASED ARTISTIC PROJECTS, ART APPRECIATION PROGRAMS, EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS AND PROVIDNG SUPPORT TO EMERGING ARTIST IN THE PERFORMING, VISUAL AND LITERARY ARTS. SUPPORT WAS GIVEN TO THE FOLLOWING: AWARDED $2,750 IN GRANTS TO SUPPORT AUTHORS OF BOOKS IN GREATER PITTSBURGH AREA, HERALDS OF HOPE THEATER IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD AND TO THE MAIN STREET ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL AFTER SCHOOL HARP PROGRAM IN ATLANTA, GA. THROUGH THE EMERGING YOUNG ARTIST AWARD PROGRAM, WE AWARDED $3,000 TO THE FREELANCE VIDEOGRAPHER, PHOTOGRAPHER, WRITER AND CURATOR NJIE NJAIMEH IN PITTSBURGH, PA. $1,000 WAS AWARDED THROUGH THE JESSIE M COLSON AWARD TO ACKEEM SALMON A MULTIMEDIA ARTIST IN DETROIT, MI.
