FORMED IN 1998 PRIDE WEED MANAGEMENT AREA IS A NON-PROFIT GROUP IN THE PANHANDLE OF NEBRASKA. WE FOCUS ON NOXIOUS AND INVASIVE RIPARIAN VEGETATION PROJECTS; EDUCATION AND OUTREACH TO YOUTH THE PUBLIC AND INTERESTED PARTNERS. DURING 2021 THE NEBRASKA LEGISLATURE ALLOCATED $2,700,000.00 TO PROJECTS ACROSS THE STATE AND PRIDE RECEIVED GRANT FRUNDS FORM THE RIPARIAN GRANT FUNDS.

HELICOPTER SURVEYED AND SPRAYED NOXIOUS WEEDS ON RIVERS AND CREEKS IN BOX BUTTE DAWES DEUEL GARDEN SHERIDAN AND SIOUX COUNTIES. UTV AND ATV SPRAYERS WERE ALSO USED ALONG RIPARIAN AREAS IN THE SAME COUNTIES. HUNDREDS OF ACRES OF NON-NATIVE INVASIVE WEEDS WERE CONTROLLED WHICH WILL IMPROVE THE NATIVE VEGETATION AND IMPROVE ACCESS TO THE WATER WAYS FOR WILDLIFE AND RECREATION.
THE WEED WATCH PUBLICATION: A 12 PAGE PUBLICATION THAT IS PRODUCED SPRING AND FALL EACH YEAR. DEDICATED COMPLETELY TO NOXIOUS AND INVASIVE PLANT INFORMATION IDENTIFICATION PREVENTION CONTROL ETC. 99,850 COPIES WERE DELIVERED IN MORE THAN 40 NEBRASKA COUNTIES.
