TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING EDUCATION FOR LOW AND MEDIUM INCOME PEOPLE OF SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA, PARTICULARLY GIRLS WHO ARE HIV / AIDS ORPHANS OR AT RISK YOUTH. FIFTY-SIX TOTAL STUDENTS WERE SUPPORTED IN 2021. NINE STUDENTS WERE SUPPORTED AT ST MARGARETS ACADEMY ARUSHA, TANZANIA. FINANCIAL SUPPORT WAS ALSO PROVIDED FOR NINETEEN STUDENTS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS. TWENTY-EIGHT STUDENTS WERE SUPPORTED IN POST SECONDARY EDUCATION TO CONTINUE THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION TRAINING IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA. FUNDING WAS PROVIDED FOR TUITION AND TO PURCHASE FOOD FOR ST MARGAETS SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NEED AND AT RISK.
BEGA KWA BEGA EDUCATION INFRASTRUCTURE FUND - THE EDUCATION INFRASTRUCTURE FUND IS USED TO SUPPORT CAMPUS INPROVEMENTS AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BUILDINGS AT THE SECONDARY SCHOOLS OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE ELCT IRINGA DIOCESE. RECENT PROJECTS HAVE INCLUDED ROOFING THE MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING AT MTERA SECONDARY SCHOOL AND CONSTRUCTING TWO SCIENCE LABORATORIES AT LUTANGILO SECONDARY SCHOOL.
