CHAPTER ALLY GRANTS: EIGHT PLUS CHAPTERS WERE AWARDED A TOTAL OF $32,500 IN ALLY GRANTS TO SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITIES THAT ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THOSE WHO FACE OBSTACLES TO SECURING A JOB OR ADVANCING IN THEIR CAREER.CONFERENCE CAUSE: ZERO8HUNDRED, A SAN DIEGO NON-PROFIT THAT PROVIDES EDUCATION, SUPPORT, RETRAINING AND JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES WAS AWARDED $67,900. THE FOUNDATION COORDINATED A FUNDRAISING EFFORT AND VOLUNTEER INITIATIVE ON THE MILITARY BASE THAT ENGAGED 45 PLUS MEMBERS IN PACKING 500 CARE KITS OF ESSENTIAL ITEMS THAT WERE THEN DISTRIBUTED TO DEPLOYING TROOPS AND HOMELESS VETERANS.WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP NETWORK: CREATES OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN TO NETWORK, IMPROVE THEIR PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, AND LEARN FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF OTHER ACCOMPLISHED FEMALE LEADERS. IN 2022, 432 WOMEN AND MEN ATTENDED 5 REGIONAL EVENTS; ABOUT 500 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE WLN LUNCHEON AT THE PLUS CONFERENCE IN SAN DIEGO. ADDITIONALLY, TWO WOMEN RECEIVED $5,000 SCHOLARSHIPS TO PURSUE LEADERSHIP EDUCATION AND WERE MATCHED WITH A MENTOR FOR 1 YEAR.LEADERSHIP & MENTORING PROGRAM (LAMP): IN 2022 NINE INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN THIS YEAR-LONG PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES EDUCATION, ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING, ATTENDANCE AT CONFERENCE AND SYMPOSIUM, AND ACCESS TO PLUS LEADERSHIP. 77 INDIVIDUALS HAVE GRADUATED FROM THIS PROGRAM SINCE 2016. IN 2022 4 COLLEGE STUDENTS WERE ALSO HOSTED BY LAMP TO ATTEND THE 3-DAY PLUS CONFERENCE.
