THE COOKIE CART (THE ORGANIZATION) IS A NONPROFIT COMMUNITY CORPORATION THAT PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT SKILLS FOR YOUTH IN NORTH MINNEAPOLIS AND THE EAST SIDE OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA. THE ORGANIZATION IS THE TWIN CITIES' LEADER IN YOUTH SOCIAL ENTERPRISE, WHERE HUNDREDS OF TEENS LEARN AND BUILD REAL WORLD SKILLS THAT PREPARE THEM FOR SUCCESSFUL FUTURES. THE ORGANIZATION COMBINES PAID WORK EXPERIENCE IN A SMALL BUSINESS SETTING (THE BAKERY) WITH AUXILIARY WORKSHOPS TO PROMOTE CAREER AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUTH. IN 2023, COOKIE CART EMPLOYED 105 YOUTH ACROSS THE TWIN CITIES METRO. COOKIE CART ALSO ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM GOALS: 1) 83 YOUTH COMPLETED CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING 2) 83 YOUTH COMPLETED FINANCIAL LITERACY TRAINING 3) 60 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN CAREER ADVANCEMENT TRAINING 4) 8 YOUTH HELD ADVANCED LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.
