TO PROVIDE FOSTER CARE FOR AMERICAN INDIAN CHILDREN FROM ALL OVER THE STATE OF MINNESOTA.

AIFACS IS ABLE TO LICENSE HOMES IN ALL 87 COUNTIES WITHIN MN AND WITH ANY MN TRIBE. WE WORK WITH THE BVARIOUS COUNTY AND TRIBAL ENTITIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE TO ASSIST IN THE LICENSING OF FOSTER CARE HOMES AND SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN PLACED IN OUR LICENSED HOMES. OUR FOCUS IS ICWA HOMES AND CHILDREN HOWEVER, WE DO LICENSE AND ACCEPT ALL PEOPLE AND CHILDREN. UTILIZING DHS GUIDELINES, AIFACS RECRUITS, SUPPORTS, AND TRAINS FOSTER FAMILIES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A NURTURING AND CULTURALLY SUPPORTIVE HOME. IN 2023, AIFACS SERVED AN AVERAGE OF 80 CHILDREN EACH MONTH, WHILE IN AN AVERAGE OF 42 HOMES. THE AGES OF OUR CHILDREN SERVED MONTHLY WERE 36 CHILDREN 0-5 YEARS OLD, 28 CHILDREN 6-12 YEARS OLD, AND 17 CHILDREN 13-20 YEARS OLD. THE CHILDREN HAVE AN AVERAGE STAY OF 28 DAYS PER MONTH.
