SINCE 1980, IT HAS BEEN THE MISSION OF RICHFIELD 4TH OF JULY COMMITTEE INC TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE THE OBSERVANCE OF INDEPENDENCE DAY IN THE CITY OF RICHFIELD, MN. IN SO DOING, IT IS THE OBJECTIVE TO PROVIDE A CELEBRATION WHICH CAN PROVIDE PATRIOTIC EXPRESSION, FAMILY PARTICIPATION, AMUSEMENT, COMMUNITY COHESIVENESS AND HOMECOMING. THE RICHFIELD 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION IS A 3-DAY, COMMUNITY AND FAMILY FOCUSED EVENT THAT OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. THE CELEBRATION INCLUDES A FAMILY FUN NIGHT, PARADE, STREET DANCE, FIREWORKS OR CAR SHOW.

DUE TO COVID19 PANDEMIC, NO CELEBRATION IN 2021. 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION: INCLUDES A 20+ MINUTE FIREWORKS DISPLAY THAT ATTRACTS MORE THAN 10,000 VISITORS FROM RICHFIELD AND THE SURROUNDING MPLS/ST PAUL AREA, A PARADE THAT LASTS FOR OVER AN HOUR WITH NUMEROUS FLOATS, A PARADE GRAND MARSHALL, HIGH SCHOOL BANDS, AND OTHER ENTERTAINING UNITS, SUCH AS LADY LIBERTY AND UNCLE SAM ON STILTS, CLOWNS AND HORSES, JUST TO NAME A FEW. THERE IS ALSO A CLASSIC CAR SHOW AND STREET DANCE.
