THE METRO CABLE NETWORK DISTRIBUTES TO CABLE TELEVISION HOUSEHOLDS THROUGHOUT THE SEVEN-COUNTY METRO AREA NONCOMMERCIAL PROGRAMMING THAT REFLECTS THE INTERESTS AND CONCERNS OF THE DIVERSE COMMUNITIES THAT MAKE UP THAT REGION. THE CHANNEL STRIVES TO PRESENT A WEEKLY SCHEDULE THAT OFFERS A BROAD SPECTRUM OF CONTENT AND VIEWPOINTS AND PROVIDES A DISTINCTIVE SERVICE THAT IS NOT DUPLICATIVE OF THE PROGRAMMING ON OTHER CABLE CHANNELS.

METRO CABLE NETWORK'S GOAL IS TO TRANSMIT LIVE OR TAPED PROGRAMMING IN AREAS OF GOVERNMENT, CULTURE, EDUCATION AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS OF INTEREST TO PERSONS IN THE SEVEN COUNTY METRO AREA OF MINNEAPOLIS AND ST PAUL METRO. CABLE NETWORK IMPROVED THE LOOK OF THE CHANNEL WITH THE INTERSTITIALS THAT INCLUDE PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEMBER PROMOS AND SCHEDULES OF EACH PROGRAMMING DAY. IT ANIMATED THE CHANNEL 6 LOGO THAT IS SHOWCASED IN BETWEEN ALL PROGRAMS TO BRAND THE CHANNEL'S IDENTITY. THE LOOK CHANGES WITH THE SEASONS AND ON A REGULAR BASIS. THE INTERSTITIALS SHOWCASE THE ORGANIZATION'S 25TH YEAR CELEBRATION. THE STUDIO'S PRODUCTION AREA HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH NEW CURTAINS AND A GREEN SCREEN.
