THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROMOTE THE CURRIE MN AREA BY PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR YOUTH ACTIVITIES, PARKS, RECREATION, AND TOURISM.

EACH 4TH OF JULY, CURRIE TOWN & COUNTRY PROVIDES A COMMUNITY GET-TOGETHER WITH ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES SUCH AS A HORSESHOE TOURNAMENT, DUCK RACES, BEAN BAG TOURNAMENT, VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT, SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT, DANCE, PICNIC, AND FINALIZES THE EVENT WITH FIREWORKS. THIS BRINGS PEOPLE INTO THE CURRIE COMMUNITY FROM ALL OVER THE AREA WITH PROCEEDS RAISED FROM THE EVENTS DONATED TO MANY ORGANIZATIONS AND YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY.
FROM THE ORGANIZATIONS GAMBLING ACTIVITIES FUNDS ARE RAISED TO DONATE TO ORGANIZATIONS AND YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY SUCH AS: MURRAY COUNTY CENTRAL SCHOOL, CITY OF CURRIE, HOSPICE OF MURRAY COUNTY, MURRAY COUNTY CHRISTMAS PROJECT, CITY OF IONA, CITY OF TRACY, MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME, TRACY ANIMAL RESCUE, AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS. AN ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT AT EASTER, PUMPKIN FESTIVAL AT HALLOWEEN AND A VISIT FROM SANTA CLAUS WITH GIFTS IS PROVIDED FOR THE AREA CHILDREN. TOTAL LAWFUL PURPOSE EXPENDITURES FROM GAMBLING ACTIVITIES WERE $79,908 DURING 2021.
