MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS (MNACHC) WORKS ON BEHALF OF ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR PATIENTS TO PROMOTE THE COST-EFFECTIVE DELIVERY OF AFFORDABLE, QUALITY PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES, WITH A SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON MEETING THE NEEDS OF LOW INCOME AND MEDICALLY UNDER-SERVED POPULATIONS. MNACHC PROVIDES:-A VOICE FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS (CHCS): PROVIDING STATE AND FEDERAL PUBLIC POLICY ANALYSIS, EDUCATION.-PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: PROMOTING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS AT STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS TO SUPPORT HEALTH CENTER INFRASTRUCTURE AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH.-DATA CLEARINGHOUSE: CONDUCTING RESEARCH RELATED TO PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUES AND THE HEALTH CARE SAFETY NET, INCLUDING COMMUNITY HEALTH ASSESSMENTS AND MARKET TRENDS; CREATING QUALITY IMPROVEMENT BENCHMARKS OF OPERATIONS AND CLINICAL DATA.-COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: DEVELOPING NEW FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTERS (FQHCS) AND EXPANDING EXISTING FQHCS IN UNDER-SERVED RURAL AND URBAN AREAS OF MINNESOTA.-TRAINING & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: EQUIPPING CHCS WITH THE ADMINISTRATIVE, FINANCIAL, QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND CLINICAL TOOLS NECESSARY TO SUSTAIN HIGH-QUALITY OPERATIONS.-MANY FACES OF COMMUNITY HEALTH CONFERENCE: OFFERING A STATE-WIDE FORUM FOR IN-DEPTH TRAINING THAT COVERS BEST PRACTICE MODELS OF COMMUNITY-BASED CARE AND CURRENT HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT AND POLICY ISSUES RELEVANT TO FQHCS. IN 2021, OUR VIRTUAL CONFERENCE HAD 200 ATTENDEES FROM THROUGHOUT MINNESOTA.
