KINSHIP IS A MENTORING PROGRAM WHICH SERVES YOUTH AGE 6-18 WHO LIVE IN A HOME W/O BOTH PARENTS AND RESIDE IN MORRISON COUNTY OR IN LONG PRAIRIE, MN. WE RECRUIT COMPASSIONATE ADULT VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE AS MENTORS SHARING EVERYDAY ADVENTURES & KINSHIP ALSO OFFERS MONTHLY GROUP MENTORING ACTIVITIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

KINSHIP PROVIDES MENTORING SERVICES TO YOUTH (AGE 6-18) WHO PRIMARILY LIVE IN HOMES W/O BOTH OF THEIR PARENTS. THIS INCLUDES SINGLE PARENT HOMES AND ALSO FOSTER, GUARDIAN AND STEP-PARENT SITUATIONS. THESE SERVICES FOCUS ON 1:1 MATCHES AND ALSO THROUGH GROUP MENTORING ACTIVITIES. IN 2021 KINSHIP SERVED 65 YOUTH TOTAL. WE RECRUITED 13 NEW YOUTH FOR OUR MENTORING PROGRAM. 9 NEW MATCHES WERE MADE AND 29 TOTAL MATCHES WERE SERVED DURING 2021. KINSHIP HOSTED 14 GROUP MENTORING ACTIVITIES DURING 2021. ON AVERAGE 16 YOUTH AND 12 ADULTS ATTENDED EACH ACTIVITY. KINSHIP GROUP ACTIVITIES ARE A BALANCE OF FUN, EDUCATION & COMMUNITY SERVICE. AT THE HEART OF IT, THEY ARE AN OPPORTUNITY TO FOSTER POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN KINSHIP'S YOUTH & ADULTS.
