ADVOCATE AND ASSIST DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO RECEIVE THE ASSISTANCE NEEDED TO CARRY ON FULL AND PRODUCTIVE LIVES TO WHATEVER EXTENT THEY ARE ABLE TO WITH THEIR DISABILITY.

THE LOCAL DAV HELPS DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH THE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS ORGANIZATION AND VA MEDICAL CENTER. DAV CARRIES ON ACTIVITIES TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING MONTHLY DONATIONS TO VETERAN ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS THE MINNEAPOLIS VETERANS HOME FOR REHABILITATION PROGRAMS AND EVERY THIRD SATURDAY TO ASSIST MINNESOTA VETERANS IN FINDING NEW PURPOSE AFTER MILITARY SERVICE. IN ADDITION, DAV DONATES TO THE FORT SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE TO PROVIDE THE KIND OF FUNERAL SERVICES THAT VETERANS DESERVE WITH HONOR. DAV ALSO WORKS WITH VOLUNTEER SERVICES AT THE MINNEAPOLIS VA MEDICAL CENTER AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO ASSIST IN IMPLEMENTING VARIOUS PROGRAMS.
