CONDUCT EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS THROUGHOUT THE STATE FOR MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER LONG-TERM CARE PERSONNEL DEALING WITH TOPICS SPECIFIC TO ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROVISION OF LONG-TERM HEALTH CARE TO THE STATE'S ELDERLY AND DISABLED POPULATION. ALL SEMINARS ARE APPROVED FOR THE RECEIPT OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS FOR ANY LICENSED PERSONNEL REQUIRED BY LAW TO MAINTAIN THEIR CREDENTIALS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE DISCIPLINE. PARTICIPANTS INCLUDE PERSONNEL FROM OVER 500 NURSING FACILITIES, ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, COMMUNITY BASED RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIES, AND RESIDENTIAL CARE APARTMENT COMPLEXES LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THE EVENT INCLUDES OVER 100 VENDORS OF LONG-TERM HEALTH CARE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES WHO EXHIBIT OR DEMONSTRATE THE LATEST IDEAS AND INNOVATION IN THE DELIVERY OF LONG-TERM HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO SOME 500 MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER PERSONNEL REPRESENTING OVER 300 LONG-TERM CARE/ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES. EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS ARE ALSO PROVIDED AT THE EVENT FOR WHICH LICENSED PERSONNEL CAN ATTEND AND EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS.
SPONSOR A 2 DAY ANNUAL FALL CONVENTION AND BUSINESS MEETING FOR ALL MEMBERS FOR THE PURPOSE OF REVIEWING AND ASSESSING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE PAST YEAR AS WELL AS APPROVING AN ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING YEAR. ADDITIONALLY, A NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS ELECTED BY THE MEMBERSHIP, WHICH THEN ESTABLISHES A NEW SLATE OF OFFICERS.
