THE FINANCIAL AND INVESTMENT CHALLENGE BOWL (FICB) TEACHES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ABOUT BUDGETING, CREDIT, ECONOMICS, PERSONAL FINANCE, AND INVESTING. STUDENTS FORM TEAMS OF FOUR STUDENTS EACH, STUDY, PRACTICE, AND EVENTUALLY COMPETE IN A COLLEGE-BOWL TOURNAMENT THAT SHOWCASES THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF FRIENDLY COMPETITION. APPROXIMATELY 900 STUDENTS COMPETE EACH YEAR.
THE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY EDUCATION PROGRAM (PREP) IS A SERIES OF FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES OFFERED AS DIRECT EDUCATION TO LOW-INCOME "AT RISK" STUDENTS.
THE YOUTH POWER ACADEMY OF FINANCE IS A TWO-WEEK PERSONAL FINANCE AND COLLEGE READINESS "BOOT CAMP" FOR STUDENTS ENTERING MIDDLE SCHOOL AND EARLY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. ABOUT 40 STUDENTS PARTICIPATE DURING THE YEAR (MILWAUKEE AND MADISON).
