THE MADISON HOMEBREWERS AND TASTERS GUILD (MHTG) ORGANIZES THE GREAT TASTE OF THE MIDWEST BEER FESTIVAL. OVER 190 CRAFT BREWERS FROM THE MIDWEST PARTICIPATE AND APPROXIMATELY 10,000 PEOPLE ATTEND THE FESTIVAL EACH YEAR. MHTG ALSO HOLDS ANNUAL HOMEBREW COMPETITIONS AND SPONSORS VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL EVENTS TO ENHANCE AWARENESS, BEER-JUDGING SKILLS, AND APPRECIATION OF VARIOUS STYLES AMONG MEMBERS.
