THE SOLE PURPOSE OF OPERATIONS IS THE MANAGEMENT OF A COMMUNICATIONS SERVICE CENTER AND THE RELATED DATA BASES, WHICH IS USED FOR CONDUCTING NOTIFICATIONS AS TO THE LOCATION OF UNDERGROUND UTILITIES. THE GENERAL PUBLIC ALONG WITH VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS, MUNICIPALITIES AND THE MEMBERS THEMSELVES CAN COMMUNICATE WITH THE CALL CENTER TO RECEIVE INFORMATION REGARDING THE LOCATION OF UNDERGROUND EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES, INSTALLED BY VARIOUS UTILITY AND COMMUNICATION COMPANIES. THE COSTS OF OPERATING THE CALL CENTER ARE PRIMARILY THE DATA COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK, RELATED TELEPHONE AND COMPUTER EQUIPMENT CHARGES, PAYROLL EXPENSES, OCCUPANCY AND FACILITIES EXPENSES.
