THE MISSION OF DIAL HELP IS TO PROMOTE THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SOCIAL WELL-BEING OF OUR COMMUNITIES. WE ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL BY PROVIDING PROBLEM ASSISTANCE, CRISIS INTERVENTION, REFERRALS, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING.

CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES: OPEN AND STAFFED 365 DAYS A YEAR, THE CRISIS UNIT PROVIDES INFORMATION AND REFERRALS, WALK-IN FACE-TO-FACE INTERVENTION, ONLINE INSTANT MESSAGING CRISIS INTERVENTION, AND TELEPHONE CRISIS INTERVENTION OPERATING A TOLL FREE 24/7 VICTIM SERVICES HELPLINE.


ADDITIONAL COUNSELING AND ASSESSMENT SERVICES.


PREVENTIVE SERVICES: DIAL HELP OFFERS SEVERAL PREVENTION SERVICES. CLASSROOM BASED EDUCATION ADDRESSES ISSUES SUCH AS BULLYING, TOBACCO, DRUGS AND ALCOHOL, AND RESPONSIBLE DECISIONS. DISCOVERY GROUPS ADDRESS LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND OFFER COMMUNITY AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES FOR YOUTH. OTHER PREVENTIVE SERVICES INCLUDE SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND FAMILY SUPPORT.


VICTIM ASSISTANCE SERVICES: PROVIDES INFORMATION AND REFERRALS, SHORT-TERM CRISIS COUNSELING, AND PERSONAL ADVOCACY, 24 HOURS PER DAY, FREE OF CHARGE TO VICTIMS IN THE AFTERMATH OF CRIMES, ACCIDENTS, ABUSE, DISASTERS, SUICIDE, OR SUDDEN ILLNESS. THE VICTIM SERVICE UNIT ALSO ADMINISTERS AND STAFFS MOBILE CRISIS TEAMS TO RESPOND TO VICTIMS OF ANY CRIME OR ACCIDENT.
