CDC HIV PREVENTION - THE ORGANIZATION USES THE SAFETY COUNTS DIFFUSION OF EFFECTIVE BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS (DEBI), A SCIENCE-BASED INTERVENTION OF CDC, WHICH HAS PROVEN EFFECTIVE AS AN INTERVENTION TO ASSIST CLIENTS IN INTERNALIZING VARIOUS CONCEPTS AND ELEMENTS THAT PROGRESSIVELY GUIDE THEM THROUGH CORE ELEMENTS OF CHANGE.
ORS CASE MANAGEMENT - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO THE WELL BEING OF HIV-POSITIVE INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF CHICAGO AND IS FUNDED BY THE AIDS FOUNDATION OF CHICAGO. CLIENTS ARE ABLE TO RECEIVE REFERRAL SERVICES TO PRIMARY CARE FACILITIES, SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT CENTERS, ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES, DENTAL SERVICES, MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES. THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS AS TO RESIDENTIAL AREA, LOCATION, AGE LIMITATIONS OR OTHER CRITERIA FOR THE CLIENT. THE ONLY CRITERIA USED TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM THIS PROGRAM IS THAT THE CLIENT TEST POSITIVE FOR HIV.
