THE ORGANIZATION HAS ACQUIRED ECOLOGICALLY SIGNIFICANT WETLANDS ALONG AND ADJACENT TO THE DES PLAINES RIVER AND ITS TRIBUTARIES. THESE WETLANDS HAVE BEEN ACQUIRED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSERVING, PRESERVING, AND RETAINING THEM IN THEIR NATURAL STATE. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION WILL PROMOTE EDUCATION OF CITIZENS AND YOUTH AS TO THE NEED TO CONSERVE AND RETAIN WETLANDS IN THEIR NATURAL STATE SO FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL BE GUARANTEED THE ABILITY TO ENJOY THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. THE ORGANIZATION COOPERATES WITH SCHOOL, UNIVERSITIES, AND ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS IN ALLOWING EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OR STUDY.
