THE WISCONSIN ASSOCIATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IS A MEMBER-BASED, PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY OF INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS WITH DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS THAT PROMOTES RESPONSIBLE ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION, ELEVATES VOICES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, AND CELEBRATES EXCELLENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION. WAEE'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2022, "AWARENESS TO ACTION," FEATURED THE INTRODUCTION OF WAEE'S FIRST EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, A STATEWIDE IN-PERSON ADVOCACY PANEL, A VARIETY OF VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, AND FORMALLY RECOGNIZED YOUTH AND PROFESSIONALS MAKING NOTABLE IMPACTS IN THE FIELD. DURING ITS ANNUAL AWARDS PROGRAM, WAEE HOSTS THE STATEWIDE K-12 ENERGY EDUCATOR AND U.S. GREEN RIBBON SCHOOLS AWARDEES, AS WELL.
