ANNUAL CONVENTION AND TRADE SHOW - THIS EVENT IS HELD ANNUALLY AND ATTENDED BY REPRESENTATIVES AND STAFF OF MINNESOTA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS. THE CONVENTION INCLUDES WORK ASSOCIATED WITH VARIOUS GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS RELATED TO TRAINING, INFORMATION, AND EDUCATION OF SWCD STAFF AND BOARD MEMBERS. IT ALSO INVOLVES SECURING SPEAKERS FOR VARIOUS EVENTS AND PROVIDING TECHINCAL ASSISTANCE TO THE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS.MISCELLANEOUS ACTIVITIES SUCH AS THE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AND LEGISLATIVE DAY AT THE CAPITOL PROVIDE A FORUM REGARDING WATER QUALITY ISSUES AND EDUCATE AND FOSTER AWARENESS AMONG MEMBERSHIP REGARDING SOIL AND WATER QUALITY PROGRAMS.
