THE KENOSHA MONTESSORI SCHOOL STRIVES TO CULTIVATE AND HONOR CHILDREN'S INNATE LOVE OF LEARNING AS THEY PREPARE FOR A LIFE OF PURPOSE, INTEGRITY, AND ACADEMIC ACCOMPLISHMENT. KMS ADHERES TO THE MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATING THE "WHOLE CHILD", THROUGH THE USE OF SELF-DIRECTED INSTRUCTION AND SELF-CORRECTING MATERIALS. WE AIM TO GIVE THE STUDENTS THE SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE TO MEET THE CHALLENGES OF SELF, FAMILY,, COMMUNITY, AND THE WORLD AT LARGE. THE BASIC GOALS OF KMS INCLUDE: 1. KENOSHA MONTESSORI SCHOOL OFFERS A PRE-SCHOOL, A FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN, AND AN UPPER LEVEL (GRADES 1 - 6) MONTESSORI PROGRAM. MONTESSORI CLASSROOMS ARE FASCINATING PLACES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS. CLASSROOMS ARE BRIGHT, WARM, AND INVITING, FILLED WITH PLANTS, ANIMALS, ART, MUSIC AND BOOKS. THERE ARE INTEREST CENTERS FILLED WITH INTRIGUING LEARNING MATERIALS, FASCINATING MATHEMATICAL MODELS, MAPS, CHARTS, HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS, COMPUTERS, SCIENCE APPARATUS, AND ANIMALS THAT CHILDREN ARE RAISING.
