CHILD EDUCATION PROGRAMS - PROVIDE PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION AND PARENTING SKILLS TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES THROUGH HEAD START. PROMOTE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH QUALITY, AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE SERVICES. TOTAL OF 372 HEAD START CHILDREN AND 4,711 PARENTS/FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND CHILD CARE PROVIDERS ASSISTED.
HOUSING/WEATHERIZATION PROGRAMS - PERFORM A VARIETY OF ENERGY CONSERVATION MEASURES AND HOUSING REHABILITATION TO IMPROVE ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RESOLVE HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES IN LOW-INCOME HOUSING. ASSISTED HOME OWNERS WITH DOWNPAYMENTS TO PURCHASE HOMES. TOTAL OF 13 HOMES REHABBED, 189 HOMES RECEIVED WEATHERIZATION ENERGY CONSERVATION AND REHABILITATION, AND 23 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED COUNSELING.
