MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT THE ASSOCIATION OF JUNIOR LEAGUES INTERNATIONAL IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN WHOSE MISSION IS TO ADVANCE WOMENS LEADERSHIP FOR MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY IMPACT THROUGH VOLUNTEER ACTION, COLLABORATION, AND TRAINING.
COMMUNITY THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MILWAUKEE JLM IS COMMITTED TO RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. JLM HAS IDENTIFIED ITS FOCUS AREAS AS THE EDUCATION, HEALTH AND NUTRITION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN. IN THE CURRENT YEAR JLM CONTINUTED THE PARTNERSHIP WITH ITS 100TH ANNIVESARY PARTNER - AURORA SAFE HOME ENVIRONMENT SHE. A GRANT OF 10,000 WAS MADE WHICH WILL ALLOW THE AURORA ABUSE RESPONSE PROGRAM SAFE MOM, SAFE BABY TO ADD SAFE HOUSING AT MERCY HOUSINGS ST. CATHERINE RESIDENCE TO ITS WRAP-AROUND SERVICES FOR EXPECTANT MOTHERS THREATENED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. JLM ALSO HOLDS VARIOUS COMMUNITY EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
JUNIOR LEAGUE SINGERS JLM SINGERS PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT AND FUN TO NURSING HOMES AND RETIREMENT FACILITIES ACROSS THE MILWAUKEE AREA. THROUGH SONG, THIS GROUP BRINGS SMILES TO SENIORS IN ALL STAGES OF CARE.
